DERM ClimateSmart Business Associations Program

Queensland Government logoEC3 Global is working with Clubs Queensland and the Department of Environment and Resource Management to deliver the ClimateSmart Business Associations Program. The program works with 20 Clubs throughout Queensland to incorporate sustainable best practice into their operations. The program adopts the EarthCheck Assessed program to measure energy, water, waste and carbon. In the first instance, EC3 Global will work with participants over an eight month period and establish a framework for ongoing implementation.

Radisson Resort GCWith funding provided through Queensland Government’s Job Assist program, the Radisson Resort Gold Coast commissioned EC3 Global to undertake a strategic review of their business operations.  The aim of the review was to provide a clear strategic platform for the future development of the organisation and link directly to opportunities to maintain and create employment and ensure long-term business viability.

Queensland AirportsQueensland Airports Limited (QAL) has established an Environmental and Sustainability Working Group to develop and implement a strategy to achieve improved environmental and social sustainability and address the risks and challenges associated carbon management within their organisation. EC3 Global worked with Queensland Airports Limited to facilitate the strategy development process and assist QAL in becoming recognised as a leader in addressing both sustainability and climate change within their organisation. 

Australian Capital Tourism Five Year Strategic Plan

ACTIn April 2008 Australian Capital Tourism, the State Tourism Organisation for the ACT, appointed EC3 Global to develop a Strategic Plan for the organisation that links into the existing Strategic Plans of key stakeholders in the Territory. The development of the Australian Capital Tourism Five Year Strategic Plan involved several key stages including extensive stakeholder consultation, international best practice case study reviews and a detailed assessment of trends, opportunities and challenges for the organisation.

toowoombaThe Board of Toowoomba Golden West Tourism (TGWT) is taking a proactive approach to planning its future in response to a number of significant changes in the tourism network. The EC3 Global consulting team was appointed to assess the effectiveness of the current regional tourism network, analyse the implications of changes to the tourism network planned for 2009 onwards by State and Local Government and examine a range of options to find the best way forward for TGWT that can be shared with neighbouring RTOs as part of an ongoing partnership towards a better regional network.

North Queensland Local Government Engagement Strategy for Tourism

Townsville Enterprise The North Queensland Local Government Engagement Strategy aims to better integrate the region’s tourism development and marketing strategies within the plans of the Local Government and tourism associations. The Strategy is linked to the allocation of funding and resources and provides a step-by-step process for the regional tourism organisation and Local Government to engage in collaborative planning and understand each other’s key roles and responsibilities. The Strategy also highlights partnerships for Council to engage in to achieve the goals of their Economic Development Strategy and Destination Management Plan.
